Head for Arts operates in partnership with local communities to provide opportunities for people of all ages:
- to work with professional arts practitioners
- to learn new skills
- to explore their creativity
- to actively participate in the arts.
This includes setting up taster workshops, regular arts activities, training for volunteers, master classes, mentoring schemes, developing community venues and staging events.
Head for Arts promotes a wide range of art forms including creative writing, dance, carnival arts, drama, music, digital storytelling and visual arts. This year’s priority is community performance.
